We are in the process of planning a huge, best ever tour to Iceland, it was going to be for 2019, but COVID and time have gotten the better of us, so now it’s going to be 2024.  It will be the “Non iconic ultimate back country tour of Iceland”!  quite a mouthful really, we will have to think of a catchier name… Let’s just call this a working title.  Perhaps ” Iceland, Wild and Untamed!” Or simply the “Untamed Iceland Tour.”

Iceland Photo Tour - Coming Soon

15 full days of experiencing and photographing the wonders of the isolated Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan with a small group of just 8 participants and lead by highly experienced professional photographer Adam Monk. Adam has made 11 photo tour trips (This will be No 12) to Bhutan, and he has a fantastic team of seasoned (and fun) local Bhutanese guides and drivers that will make your journey truly special.

For this year’s tour we will travel to the Far East of Bhutan and witness two of the most spectacular festivals of all, the Mongar and Trashigang Tsechus. This really will be the trip of a lifetime.

Iceland Photo Tour

  • We are still in the planning phase, so details are sketchy, but so far we have.

  • 14-16 days on tour in the backcountry of Iceland.

  • The tour will begin and end in Reykjavik, Iceland.

  • August – September 2024.

  • No Iconic South Coast waterfalls or Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon on this tour!

  • Though we are discussing a possible 5-day pre-tour on the South Coast.

Details will be out soon on this 2024 Iceland Tour.

The details so far

In 2017 we ran the “Ultimate Highlands” tour, which was awesome, 14 days in the highlands of Iceland, the South Coast and the big waterfalls in the far North (This was our 5th Iceland photo tour).

The thing is, we still did the South Coast and lots of the coastal ring road where many of the classic iconic spots are… and there were just too many people. So for 2024 we are planning something even more unique (still staying in hotels, not camping), something extra special.   A smaller group, more remote, the most incredible landscapes that Iceland has to offer and no crowded bits!

So if you want to see the real Iceland, and get the photos that you haven’t seen up on Facebook (or Instagram) this could be the tour for you
