Returning to Covid Normal

COVID is still around, but it does look like it’s reaching a state of “normality” where we are finally accepting that we must find a way to live with it… Which in Australia has definitely NOT been the policy so far. So far we have been more “keep it out at all costs”, Which means we have missed out on all the gruelling measures and the death toll that most of the world has been enduring.

Tours in suspended animation

Of course it also meant that my business has completely ground to a halt for the duration, but you can’t have it both ways. Here in Western Australia we have gone from almost no cases of COVID and life pretty much normal, to multiple thousands every day. But, the death rate is way down and travel is finally opening up again as restrictions are lifted.

No Photo Tours for 2022

I have no tours planned for 2022, its been too difficult to see the future with constant state border closures and uncertainty. I didn’t want to be repeatedly cancelling or postponing tours, so it seemed more sensible to not plan anything for this year.

Tours begin again 2023!

2023 however is looking brighter, assuming Mr Putin doesn’t push the big red button… I am making plans for Karijini workshops in the Pilbara region and the Kimberley (coming soon) for amazing landscapes. Tasmania, for more amazing landscapes. Bhutan for… well, amazing everything. Japan (once it opens) for culture, people, landscapes and food, and Iceland, for even more amazing landscapes… and because I just love it there.

My Tours are changing for 2023

There will be some major changes to my tours moving forward. There will less of them, probably no more than 4 tours a year for me. I will be touring with smaller groups of just 4-6 people on each, and They will be even more bespoke (I have always wanted to use that word in a sentence), with unique itineraries and experiences. More soon…
